Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SpreadEvent ("Service"), operated by Scale by System Consulting & Management - FZCO ("Company", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is available at spreadevent.com and app.spreadevent.com. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, free trial users, and paying subscribers.

2. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Free Trial

We offer a 14-day free trial. A valid credit card is required to start the trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged according to the plan you selected.

4. Subscription & Billing

SpreadEvent is available as a paid subscription at $29/month or $23/month billed annually ($276/year). All payments are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record.

Paddle handles all billing, invoicing, VAT calculation and collection, payment processing, and refunds on our behalf. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Service.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Send spam, unsolicited messages, or phishing content
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems
  • Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our infrastructure
  • Scrape, crawl, or collect data from the Service without permission
  • Create events that promote illegal activities, hate speech, or harassment

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is owned by the Company and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

You retain ownership of all content you create through the Service (events, form data, branding). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, display, and transmit your content as necessary to provide the Service.

7. API Usage

Access to the SpreadEvent API is subject to these terms and any additional API documentation. You agree to:

  • Use API keys securely and not share them publicly
  • Respect rate limits and usage quotas
  • Not use the API to build a competing service
  • Include proper attribution when required

We may revoke API access at any time if these terms are violated.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account settings. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination, during which you may request an export. After 30 days, your data will be permanently deleted unless retention is required by law.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
